& terminology

Listed below are some of the terminologies referred to in the various frameworks,

COMPANY TYPE

As defined by Section 385 of the Companies Act. That is a company

whose shares are quoted on a European stock exchange (including

the London Stock Exchange), NYSE or NASDAQ

A company that does not meet the criteria of a quoted company

(see left) and is, therefore, not a quoted company

Direct company emissions from owned or

controlled sources

Indirect emissions from purchased energy

Indirect emissions that occur in the value

chain of a company, both upstream and

downstream
